I’ve become rather zen about AI lately. The ‘better’ it gets the more I see how so many will embrace it without thinking of the moral (and necessarily economic), consequences. Those who choose to use it as their primary method of ‘expression’ will contribute to a marketplace bankrupt of value, which leaves the real artists, especially those that use physical media, with the upper hand. We will become even more rarified air, the kind that many will want to breath in not wanting to drown in AI slop.
Real artists creating in real mediums will become rockstars. I, for one, will be looking at my Wacom Cintiq a little differently going forward, and seeking to produce less digital works and more works finished in the real.
