Google has decided, in an effort to combat “misinformation”, that they will no longer include independent news in their search results. They refer to their strategy as establishing one point of view via “Data Commons”.

The idea that people use Google for anything anymore is ridiculous at this point. Three years ago I abandoned my Gmail addresses, with the exception of the one used for my YouTube Channel.

Moving away from these tech giants should be an essential goal. It takes a bit of strategy and time, but there are other solutions out there and continuing with these converged corporations will compromise you. If you value the true, the good, and the beautiful, avail yourself of the alternatives.
